I suppose if you don't receive criticism, you're not doing it right.

9 months ago, you told me that Mahoney rented his home in Sunland.

I don't write for a living, and you don't pay for it, so I'd say you get what you pay for?

Yes, I do realize that TMS does not care for women and that the graduation has been of particularly inopportunely placed.

Since you won't answer this question: After all this time, to the dozens of abuse victims, to the fired, to the maligned...how have you ministered to them?

(Thank you to those who have recently joined Medium to read my stories. I appreciate you and hope that I had better news for you. We will have to rest in the fact that all this will soon come to a necessary end…in glory. For now…Mercy, Mercy, Mercy.)

I used the image of James Coates’ diploma to illustrate a larger point. See the names, but don’t get attached. 2020 was a difficult year, but 2021 has proven to be in many ways just as chaotic; however, not brought upon a deadly “pandemic”, but by those in leadership whose aim is…

Used the same photo twice. Sorrey.

We do not stand upon ceremony. This is what happened.

February 12, 2021: The TMUS Board met and discussed the 5-part plan that I had mentioned in my previous article. As disastrous as it was to the incoming students of both institutions, the only one it benefited was John MacArthur and due to that fact, the plan was agreed upon. They are going to split the schools, abandon accreditation (financial aid no longer available), place TMS under the leadership of the GCC Elders, and seek accreditation from the Association of Theological Schools. In turn, The Master’s University would no longer…

The Master’s University and Seminary Board, 2021

At the conclusion of the sermon last Sunday, February 14th, 2021, John MacArthur described the Pharisees in the following manner,

“they were the most acquainted with the law, the most fastidious about supposedly observing it”.

He went on to speak about how talented they were in hiding a life of sin. Now, with Ravi Zacharias’ misdeeds the talk of the internet, we are meant to believe that MacArthur was speaking about him, and I suppose in a broader sense, all leaders; however, the irony was not lost on those who watched the Livestream only to see that the first 3…

On February 12, 2021 at 3:17 pm, the following was twote (a new word, a past tense of tweet which was recently accepted into the vernacular and is beyond grammatical contestation):

ANNOUNCEMENT: In light of our ongoing litigation and recent threats from the County of Los Angeles and the State of California, we have decided that the most prudent course of action at this time is to postpone the Shepherd’s Conference. We will be deposing the key health officers and county officials and requiring them to answer for their oppressive actions under oath, and requesting all documents and information supporting…

If Beth Moore is not going to mince words, neither will I.

Throughout the Twitterverse, there is talk about Christian Nationalism, Christian Trumpism, Regular Trumpism, Extra Crispy and Cajun Trumpism. It’s definitely not what I came on here to talk about. You can get enough of that on the Parlers, the Facebooks, and the Twitters. What is applicable is this sense that things have been deep-fried and presented to us in such a way where we have to be one or the other: a Trumper or a Liberal, a patriot or a coward, a Republican or a Marxist. They leave…

John MacArthur at John Calvin’s pulpit
John MacArthur at Calvin’s pulpit

Tomorrow, December 6th, John MacArthur will return to Grace Community Church after a 2-month departure to preach in the morning and offer a Q & A in the evening service. Presumably, the questions will be pre-screened and the laughter, canned. How fitting that after so much has happened, Los Angeles County is on the eve of another proper lockdown. If you didn’t know, California Governor Gavin Newsom had recently put forth another plan to “bend the curve” like Beckham and desperately try to stop the virus as ER occupancy has reached such a fevered pitch (pun not intended). …

Picture it, March 2020. The beginning of the pandemic and Gavin Newsom, as well as Eric Garcetti, have just instituted the Shelter-at-Home (“lockdown”) program whereby only essential workers doing essentials tasks may leave their home. All others, especially those over 65 and those with compromised immune systems, are strongly encouraged to stay home. Empty shelves at the grocery stores and people go into full panic mode over the scarcity of food and other provisions that keep life going. If you were a parent of a Master’s University student, you received the following:

Contempt is a pattern of attitudes and behavior, often towards an individual or group, but sometimes towards an ideology, which has the characteristics of disgust and anger. The word originated in 1393, from the Latin word contemptus meaning “scorn”.

Seen any of this lately? Or worse, been a victim of it yourself? Funny how it originated in the 14th c. but you know it was in the Garden, sitting there, growing like a weed or fungus waiting to find its way into the heart of Man. How philosophical for a Friday night/Saturday morning whatever your perspective is of 12:30 am…

I have absolutely no clever intro, no food takes, and no words right now. Falling firmly under the category of “Now It Can Be Told”, a Los Angeles Times article recently came out regarding the outbreak at Grace Community Church. Just to reiterate, whether you are referring to the CDC definition or the official one, an outbreak does not necessarily focus on the numbers, but on the suddenness of the event.

From the Cambridge English Dictionary: an outbreak is,

n. a time when something suddenly begins, especially a disease or something else dangerous or unpleasant
